Rental cancellation

To provide the most fair user experience for both car owners and renters, we have established cancellation policies and fees applicable to all bookings. If a cancellation is made within the timeframe requiring a cancellation fee, the fee will be credited as compensation to the other party. The amount of the fee varies based on the time of cancellation.

If you wish to cancel a reservation, you must do so either on our website or through the GoMore application. You can view all your rental bookings, including unconfirmed rental requests, in the overview of your user profile under "Rentals" and cancel a confirmed booking under "Rental Details" -> Cancel Reservation.

If the renter cancels the booking

As a car renter you can always cancel your rental request and get your money back as long as you do so no later than 48 hours before the start of the rental period. If you decide to cancel your booking less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period, you will have to pay a cancellation fee to the car owner who has reserved the car for you.

Cancellation fees vary based on the cancellation timing as follows, depending on which party cancels the booking:

Please note that the above rules apply only to confirmed bookings. Unconfirmed rental requests can always be canceled / declined without any charges.

If the car owner cancels the booking

When you accept a booking at GoMore as the owner of the car, you are expected to rent the car to the renter who made the booking for the specified time period. If you decide to cancel the booking later, for example because the car is no longer available or you want to use the car yourself, you have to pay the renter a cancellation fee as compensation. In addition to a refund, the renter also receives GoMore Points that can be used to book a new car. The cancellation fee is deducted from car owners GoMore earnings. 

Cancellation fees vary based on the cancellation timing:

If you repeatedly cancel reservations, GoMore may deactivate your car, and it will not appear in search results. Reactivating the listing requires contacting GoMore customer support.
