Driving abroad with GoMore cars

If you want to drive abroad during the rental, you must first check that the car owner agrees to driving abroad.

Every car owner can change the settings for driving abroad in their car profile. All privately owned cars rented through GoMore include insurance coverage offered by our partner Omocom, which is valid during the period specified in the rental reservation in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. It is the renter's responsibility to obtain insurance covering driving abroad in company-owned cars. As a car owner, please note that if you allow driving abroad, the first part of the car registration certificate (the technical part) must be present in the car during the rental period when the car is being taken abroad.

The renter must, however, add a mention of international driving in the "Rental information" section when making the reservation. If the car owner has approved that the car can be driven abroad, it is possible to select this option during the reservation for an additional fee. The price of abroad insurance is 5 € per day. However, the maximum price is 25 € regardless of the length of the rental period (first 5 days). If the owner has prohibited driving abroad, international driving cannot be selected during the booking. If the owner has forbidden driving abroad, it is not possible to choose international driving when booking.

Drivalia and driving a leased car abroad

The customer should separately request permission from Drivalia to drive the car outside the Nordic countries or Estonia. During a possible peer-to-peer rental, the car may not be driven outside of Finland, if it is a leased car from Drivalia.
