Rental Payments and Additional Costs

How is payment for car rentals processed?

The rental payment is captured as a pre-authorization from the renter's payment card when the car owner has accepted the reservation request sent by the renter. The payment is charged when the rental has ended. Payment is made with a credit or debit card saved in the GoMore member's personal user account. The car owner's earnings will appear on the owner's GoMore account within 24 hours of the end of the rental period.

Who pays for additional costs incurred during the rental?

As a rule, the renter of the car pays any additional costs accrued during the rental, such as extra mileage, fuel costs, and fines, unless the renter and the owner have agreed otherwise in the rental agreement they drew up together. You can read more about extra costs here.

What happens if additional costs are not paid?

If additional costs remain unpaid or appear later, GoMore will transfer the amount of the additional charge to the owner of the car. At the same time GoMore will make a debt and attempt to charge the renter's payment card for expenses afterwards.

How do I as a car owner get paid?

When your first rental is over, a new section will open in your GoMore profile - "Earnings". You can find the earnings section both in the GoMore app and in our browser version.

For earnings, you can enter your bank account number into the service and request earnings for payment when you want to credit them to your bank account. You can also view your past rentals from your balance, for example to fill out a tax return. In addition, you can see a summary of your earnings on a monthly and yearly basis.
