Fuel costs with Keyless rentals

This article discusses the refueling and fuel costs of keyless cars. For information on refueling and fuel costs for regular (non-keyless) cars, you can refer here. You can find an article about charging keyless electric cars here.

Who is responsible for the fuel costs during keyless rentals?

The renter must return the car to the owner with the same amount of fuel as it had at the beginning of the rental. Therefore, the renter is responsible for the fuel costs during the rental period.

How is the fuel level recorded?

Most keyless cars automatically report the fuel level to the rental agreement, so the renter does not need to fill it out manually. If the car does not automatically report the fuel level or if the reported level is incorrect, the renter should manually update the correct information in the GoMore application.

What happens if the renter returns the car with less or more fuel than when picked up?

If the car is returned with a lower fuel level than when picked up, this should be documented in the rental agreement in the application (unless the fuel level is automatically reported). In this case, the renter will be automatically charged €2.30 per liter for the missing gasoline and €2.30 per liter for the missing diesel, which will be credited to the owner's GoMore earnings.

If the car has more fuel at the time of return than when picked up, the renter will be credited €1.90 per liter for the excess gasoline and €1.90 per liter for the excess diesel. The credit will be deducted from the owner's GoMore earnings and paid to the renter's GoMore earnings.

Is the car supposed to be fully fueled when picking it up?

GoMore recommends that car owners deliver the car with a full tank to make it easier for the renter to remember the fuel level at the time of handover. However, this is not a requirement!

If you have additional questions regarding the agreement or payment of fuel costs not included in the rental agreement, please contact GoMore support, and we will assist you in resolving the matter.

How is the fuel level recorded for gas + petrol hybrid vehicles?

The Keyless application does not currently support reading two fuel tank levels simultaneously. Therefore, you can record the gas level by taking a picture of the dashboard gauge showing the gas tank level during the car pickup and return. You can send the picture through the GoMore chat between the renter and car owner. Based on the picture, the fuel amount in the tanks can be checked after the car is returned. The pictures taken at the beginning and end of the rental should show both gauges.

The renter should return the car with the tanks at the same level as at the start of the rental, and any missing fuel will be charged to the renter afterward.
